Helping to Make Birthday Wishes Come True
It's no secret we here at Oriental Trading Company love any reason to celebrate. That's why we believe every child, no matter his or her living situation, deserves a birthday bash that's a smash. One way we make birthday wishes come true is through our new sponsorship of The Birthday Party Project, a nonprofit that hosts parties for kids in homeless and transitional facilities across the country. By providing party supplies, favors, decor and more to each celebration at no cost, we help make sure every child gets to celebrate their day in a big way.
Much like Oriental Trading Company, The Birthday Party Project is committed to creating countless smiles. To date, they've generated grins through more than 4,500 birthday celebrations. We're proud to provide fun finds, from activities and games to decorations and favors that bring each party to life. Beyond this, our employees donate their time by creating goodie bags given out to party attendees. By playing our small role, we help this amazing organization spread joy through the magic of birthdays!

Local Community Partners
We support a number of local nonprofit organizations that work in the four areas we focus on: education, youth, healthcare and human services. These organizations partner with us on events to enrich the community as a whole. Some of them include: assisting with educational events at the Henry Doorly Zoo, giving special Care Bears to each child undergoing surgery at Children's Hospital & Medical Center, supporting fundraising events for breast cancer patients served by Project Pink'd, creating fun for children of our military families at Offutt Air Force Base and many more. Whether it's donating decorations for a fundraiser or making our craft kits available for a children's event, we support these groups in big and small ways throughout the year. Beyond this, we're proud to make donations to nearly 50 additional local nonprofit groups.
Donation Requests
More than 5,000 donation requests pour in annually from all over the country. Nonprofits may apply for a donation by clicking on the application below. Organizations must have a current tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or be a public school, college or university operated exclusively for public purposes.
Individuals or membership associations who support political candidates, legislation or campaigns, or benefit private individuals are not eligible under this program.
